Welcome to Files for Upload, part of WikiProject Articles for creation. This process was created to allow unregistered users to add new files to Wikipedia with the assistance of experienced Wikipedians. If you would like to upload an image yourself, you can create an account and after four days and 10 edits you will be autoconfirmed and able to upload files. However, please consider uploading free files over at the Wikimedia Commons (instructions for creating an account there can be found here).

• Hello, and thank you for your request. Please provide a link to a page proving the file's license. We need this to be able to upload the file. Generally, the webpage the file is on will have the license information on it. If an appropriate license link is not received within seven days, the request will be declined. Regards. • Reply. The file is being submitted as a non-free promotional image and fulfills all the criteria for doing so. Money Inc., for example, uses the exact same rationale. The link to the image is already included in the "Source" section. The fact that it is from SSW's official photo gallery proves its ownership. 72.74.223.52 (talk) 01:48, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

File upload request declined. The file can't be uploaded as fair use since the image can be 'easily' replaced by a free photo since the photographed persons still live. I marked the other image for deletion also. mabdul 11:06, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

• Just because both men are alive doesn't mean the image is "easily replaceable". The team broke up in 2002 and both wrestlers have been in retirement for some time meaning they're no longer public figures. Whatever problem you have with File:Moneyinc.jpg doesn't nullify the rationale for using it, especially as its been disputed, as I could cite hundreds of other images using the license. 72.74.208.57 (talk) 08:43, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
  • File upload request declined. According to WP:NFCC#8: "Non-free content is used only if its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding." I decline this as the addition of this picture doesn't enhance the readers understanding of the topic, and not using it doesn't detrimental the understanding of the topic. Not replaceable. This tag team no longer exists, and neither individual wrestles regularly. In any case, cameras are forbidden at WWE events.

That move has several reasons. First is the "general disclaimer" of that page very unspecific. Which version of GFDL? with which/any exceptions? etc... 2) The image the user uploaded there is very low-quality and thus this can be flickr-washing of the image. mabdul 14:01, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

The page at http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/CPCWiki:About contains restrictions ("no mass copying is allowed. If you'd like to copy multiple pages or scoop entire sections or the whole of the wiki you must contact us first and ask for permission.") that are incompatible with GFDL or CC-BY-SA. IMO, before this can be used the author must be contacted and asked to release it under a compatible license, preferably CC-BY-SA. I have found that most content owners are happy to do this if asked nicely. --Guy Macon (talk) 19:42, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
