NORWAY'S ELECTIVE MONARCHY.
It is commonly said that the most amiable and bloodless revolution known to history is the dissolution of partnership between Sweden and Norway. If it have a rival it is the amicable arrangement by which Dom PEDRO abdicated the throne of Brazil. Norway, even while informing King OSCAR that it would have none of him, said it would like to make his son King of Norway, to show that there was no hard feeling.
